BARC Study Rated windream 'Top Document Management Product'
in July 2005 and Again in 2007
In the latest bi-annual study of document management systems by the
independent Business Application Research Center (BARC) the windream
document management and archiving system has again achieved top ranking.
In contrast to other Document Mangement and ECM systems, BARC states
that windream offers “a unique market approach”,
rating windream as one of the top ECM-products in
their new study “Enterprise Content Management – 16 systems
for document management and archiving”. Like all other systems
which attended the test, windream was installed in
the BARC laboratory and analysed in detail. The outstanding result
was achieved in the context of several other leading vendors including,

- Integrated within MS Windows, effectively turning
it into a document management system, enabling access to documents
through all the familiar windows commands and menus. This makes
windream exceptionally easy to learn and use.
- An end to mis-filing through windream’s
‘Hot Folder’ technology which ‘intelligently’
routes documents to the right destination file without any manual
intervention.
- A web-portal option making documents remotely
and securely accessible from anywhere in the world via MS Internet
Explorer, therefore third parties and/or outbound personnel can
